Job summary

Xcel NDT, LLC seeks a qualified NDT Technician Level II to perform calibrations, nondestructive testing, and inspections for acceptance or rejection determinations. The role includes setting up equipment, interpreting results, and reporting findings in accordance with codes, standards, and site safety requirements.

Candidates should hold NDT Level II RT with OJT and state card, with MT/PT/UTT Level II preferred.

Qualifications

Must pass a DISA background check.
Must pass all required drug screens.
Site-specific safety council must be completed and passed.
MUST TEST OUT IN ALL REQUIRED METHODS WITH XCEL.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with specifications/standards and evaluate results.
Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
Organize and report test results.
Perform specialized inspections.
May instruct and supervise others.
Other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
