Job summary

XCEL NDT in Odessa, TX is seeking a Level II UTSW Technician to perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations according to written instructions, codes, standards, and specifications. You will set up equipment, interpret results, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities include training Assistants and Level I Technicians, conducting tests with approved NDT methods, ensuring safety compliance, and reporting results.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II UTSW certification is required.
• Additional NDT Level II certifications in RT, MT, PT, and/or UTT preferred.
• Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Proven ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and methods.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities using approved NDT methods.
• Maintain examination techniques and safety compliance.
• Interpret readings from displays, radiographs, and meters.
• Document and report test results accurately.
• Provide training and supervision to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
