Job summary

XCEL NDT LLC in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Level II UTSW Technician to perform calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations per applicable codes and specifications. This role requires setting up equipment, interpreting results, and maintaining accurate records on site.

You will also train Assistants and Level I Technicians, ensure strict safety and quality standards, and adapt to varying schedules and workloads in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II UTSW certification required.
• Additional RT/MT/PT/UTT Level II certificates preferred with OJT/state card.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass DISA background check and drug screenings.
• On-site Kingsport, TN with safety training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Perform tests and interpret results per specs.
• Document results accurately and maintain records.
• Provide on-the-job training to Assistants and Level I.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
