Life Cycle Engineering in Bethesda, MD seeks a Senior Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer to lead NDE approaches for shipboard and naval systems. You will drive inspection strategy, data interpretation, and reliability for Navy platforms.

The role requires a BS in Engineering/Physics/Math (ABET) with 5+ years in engineering, plus Navy/NDT standards knowledge. On-site work, security clearance, and opportunities to shape naval maintenance and lifecycle sustainment are offered.

Qualifications

ABET‑accredited BS in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Knowledge of Navy/NDT/E standards and specifications.
Minimum 5 years of engineering/research design, experimental design, or trade‑off studies.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and validate NDE methods aligned with Navy standards and mission requirements.
Design high‑precision inspection protocols and interpret data for structural integrity and fleet safety.
Troubleshoot material anomalies and recommend corrective engineering actions.
Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Navy program managers and stakeholders.
Support technology insertion and advance NDE capabilities for fleet readiness and lifecycle sustainment.
