Senior NDT Engineer New Technologies Team

Electric Boats Nondestructive Test (NDT) Engineering department is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the NDT New Technologies Team (NTT). This team drives the advancement of inspection capabilities by researching, developing, qualifying, and deploying emerging nondestructive technologies such as PhasedArray Ultrasonics, advanced imaging systems, digital radiography platforms, realtime sensing technologies, and nextgeneration automated inspection tools.

The Senior Engineer will lead highimpact R&D programs aimed at introducing cuttingedge inspection solutions into Electric Boats manufacturing and shipyard environments, supporting submarine construction at Groton and Quonset Point. This role requires strong technical judgment and the ability to shape Electric Boats future inspection strategy by evaluating new commercial products, advanced instrumentation, digital analytics tools, and novel inspection concepts.

Senior Engineers interface with cross-functional engineering teams, NDT personnel, manufacturing and operations subject matter experts, and Electric Boats Navy customer to transition innovations from initial concept through full-scale deployment. This position provides significant opportunities for technical leadership and strategic influence in the modernization of submarine inspection technologies.
