Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Nondestructive (NDT) Evaluation Engineer Level III Lead for our NSWC Carderock customers, performing experimental design and trade-off studies. This in-person role requires a strong background in NDT&E methods and standards with a security clearance.

Applicants should have 10+ years of NDT&E experience, plus 5 years in engineering/research design. Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced degree can substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review and consultation to RDT&E activities on specification adequacy and producibility.
• Assess design, tolerances, manufacturability, and cost control techniques.
• Evaluate NDT&E methods and inspection standards across programs.
• Support and guide trade-off studies and experimental design.
