Job summary

ASRC Federal is hiring a Senior NDE Level II Quality Inspector to support NASA's Orion program at Kennedy Space Center, FL. You will perform nondestructive testing and quality inspections on spacecraft hardware, ensuring adherence to acceptance criteria.

The role requires 3+ years in NDT/Quality Inspection, NAS410 Level II/III, IRRSP, and CR/DR training. Experience in aerospace and strong reporting skills are essential. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant NDT/Quality Inspection experience.
• NAS410 Level II or III certification in three or more inspection methods.
• IRRSP certification.
• Completion of a 40-hour CR/DR training course.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
• Willingness to support off-shift and weekend work as required by missions.
• Ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
• Prior aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) and quality inspections on Orion spacecraft hardware.
• Interpret inspection results and prepare reports documenting acceptance, rejection, and evaluation findings.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure products meet quality and acceptance requirements.
• Review and approve inspection records for compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Investigate nonconforming materials and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by providing inspection results and disposition recommendations.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced ATLO environment.
• Support off shift work and schedule changes as required to meet mission milestones.
