Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an experienced NDE inspector/engineer to join the NDE team. You will develop ultrasonic inspection techniques, review engineering drawings, and apply industry standards to complex aerospace hardware, collaborating with UT specialists to ensure inspection readiness.

You must have Level II/III UT certifications, NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A records, and a decade of NDE experience, including aerospace or regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Current Level II or III Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) in aerospace or nuclear settings.
• Proof of NDE classroom training and NAS 410 / SNT-TC-1A certifications.
• Total NDE experience: 10+ years; 5+ years in commercial aerospace or heavily regulated industry.
• Experience reading engineering work instructions and drawings.
• Experience creating Part Specific Techniques and great Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute feasibility studies, PODs and qualification plans with UT specialists.
• Create, document and publish part-specific Ultrasonic inspection techniques for complex hardware.
• Evaluate digital UT/PAUT data for quality and acceptance criteria.
• Publish part-specific NDE techniques for varied complex parts.
• Apply NDE inspection plans, procedures and techniques consistently.
