Job summary

AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support TESS Task Order, with extensive travel to Navy systems locations.

This full-time role involves system engineering, test analysis, and technical documentation support for Aegis/BMD CSSQTs, located at Port Hueneme or San Diego, CA. The candidate should have substantial engineering experience, be able to obtain a government clearance, and be prepared to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree, or 20 years of Navy systems experience.
• Ability to travel as required for project duties.
• Must be able to obtain a government clearance.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience with test events, data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage test event activities, including preparing and presenting briefings, tracking actions and milestones, establishing and monitoring program metrics, preparing presentations, and coordinating among test team stakeholders.
• Gather and evaluate test event requirements, develop and manage test objectives aligned with program requirements and objectives, and manage the review and approval process of the test objectives.
• Develop test plans and associated test documentation, coordinate and manage the review and approval process for these docs and ensure their distribution to T&E event participants and stakeholders.
• Participate in and support test event milestone reviews such as Mission Control Panels, Range Readiness Reviews, and Mission Readiness Reviews and other meetings.
• Assist and support pre-fire briefs and checks, assess system configuration and operability, range readiness, and ship’s force readiness by reviewing and managing SW/HW ordnance onload, ship’s force scenario training.
• Provide detailed test event status via SITREPs and other informal updates, identify and complete necessary actions to proceed with the test event.
• Ensure coordination among ship’s force, test event participants, and test lead regarding event status, schedule issues, technical issues, and other matters.
• Assist and support post-event meetings to present, brief, and discuss issues related to test events outcomes, execution and performance.
• Collect and analyze test event data, including TORs and lessons learned.
• Participate in Data Analysis Working Groups and support assessment and analysis of metrics.
• Conduct debriefs to present outcomes and recommendations, including any Failure Review Boards.
• Formulate evidence-based conclusions and offer recommendations aligned with objectives.
