Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Budget Specialist to support the Navy Secretariat Comptroller and Resource Directorate (SCRD) with budget formulation and execution. You will be embedded with federal staff as a budget analyst and liaison for assigned initiatives.

You will drive PPBE activities, develop budget exhibits, and provide detailed analysis and executive-level briefings using Excel, Navy ERP, and Advana/Jupiter to monitor funds and inform decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar quantitative subject.
• 10+ years of relevant Military financial/budgetary analysis experience.
• Experience in the Navy or DoD budget environment and PPBE process.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, manipulation and reporting.
• Experience briefing Navy Senior Leadership (SES / PAS officials).
• Proficiency with PBIS, Navy ERP for funds control and Advana/Jupiter analytics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to federal staff, providing detailed analysis and actionable reporting.
• Support all phases of the PPBE cycle, including budget exhibits and unfunded requirements.
• Drive the financial execution process by monitoring obligation benchmarks and phasing plans.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data using Excel and Advana/Jupiter to inform decisions.
