Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to lead small teams and mentor junior staff in advanced modeling and analysis for national security space programs. You’ll apply engineering techniques to evaluate PNT architectures and communicate results to senior technical leads.

The role requires security clearance eligibility, on-site work four days a week at a facility in El Segundo, CA, with alternative locations including Chantilly, VA, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or related field.
• 1+ year of professional experience in modeling/simulation, mission analysis, astrodynamics, or space operations.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and/or HPC/Linux environments.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation, and space protection.
• Apply standard engineering methods to support R&D and acquisition decisions for PNT solutions.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling of overall performance.
• Plan and conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments with customers.
• Develop and present timely, accurate presentations and reports of analysis results.
• Lead and mentor junior staff on routine analysis tasks within larger projects.
