Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join the Navigation and Positioning Architectures Section within SNAPD. This on-site role in Chantilly, VA (also El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs) requires strong modeling and simulation expertise, and the ability to mentor peers while delivering high-quality analysis for national security and civil space programs.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience for SrMTS,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field.
• 1+ year of professional experience post bachelor’s degree in modeling, simulation, mission analysis, astrodynamics, or space operations.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and/or HPC/Linux environments.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, or space protection.
• Apply standard engineering methods to research, development, and acquisition decisions for PNT solutions.
• Perform architecture evaluation and modeling of overall performance using in-house tools.
• Lead small teams, mentor junior staff, and deliver quality results to customers.
