Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Navigation Engineer in Lexington Park, MD to support mission systems and military avionics programs. The role focuses on GPS, inertial navigation, and flight planning across Navy/Marine platforms.

As part of a technical team, you will assist in technical direction, planning, and specifications for PBN, RNAV, RNP, and FMS architectures, contributing to certification and technical reviews under detailed policy supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering principles related to avionics and navigation systems.
• Working familiarity with PBN, RNAV, RNP, WAAS/SBAS, and Flight Management Systems (FMS).
• Understanding of civil aviation mandates, FAA regulations, and ICAO international airspace rules.
• Ability to contribute to technical efforts across diverse engineering disciplines and program offices.
• Experience or coursework related to navigation systems design, integration, or testing.

Responsibilities

• System Integration and Engineering Support for PBN, RNAV, RNP, GNSS, and FMS.
• Technical Planning and Execution for future civil/military navigation technologies.
• Collaboration and Technical Coordination with NAWCAD/NAVAIR and program offices.
• Certification, Verification, and Technical Review of PBN-related designs and architectures.
• Other duties as assigned.
