Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, in Lexington Park, MD, seeks a Mission Systems Test Engineer to test, integrate, and evaluate avionics, communications, and COMSEC-enabled technologies across multiple NAVAIR platforms.

The role emphasizes testing and compliance of radio, navigation, and weapon system upgrades, with hands-on hardware/software testing experience and active Secret clearance being highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware/software testing for military/commercial avionics equipment.
• Experience creating and executing software test procedures.
• Prior experience with avionics and mission systems testing.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing test procedures for analog, digital, microprocessor, power, and RF electronics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer support abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test procedures for avionics, radio, and weapon system upgrades.
• Develop detailed system and subsystem test requirements from high-level specs.
• Perform hands-on testing and integration of navigation and communication systems/subsystems.
• Utilize test equipment and simulators for integration and compliance testing.
• Analyze system performance data to validate functionality and safety.
• Investigate incidents and defects and implement corrective actions.
• Support aircrew procedures trainers, flight testing, and cockpit upgrade programs.
• Participate in conferences and qualification testing activities.
