Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join the SNAPD NPAS team in advancing navigation and positioning systems through modeling, simulation, and analysis. This role emphasizes leading small teams, delivering rigorous analyses, and collaborating across disciplines.

Required: master's in a related field, 0-1 year experience post-degree, security clearance eligibility, and programming proficiency in Python/C/C++ with HPC/Linux.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field; pursuing or conferred within last 12 months.
  • 0-1 year industry experience post bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and HPC/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of geolocation, positioning, navigation, and timing technologies.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Transcripts are required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation, and/or space protection.
  • Independently apply engineering techniques to support recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions of PNT solutions.
  • Perform architecture evaluation and modeling of overall performance using in-house or custom tools.
  • Plan and conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments with senior staff, translating customer needs into project objectives.
  • Develop and present timely, technically accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results and recommendations to technical leads and customers.
  • Aid in sustainment, development, and growth of the organization’s analysis and simulation capabilities.
  • Lead small teams of peers and mentor junior staff as part of larger project efforts.
