Job summary

SAIC in Mayport, FL seeks a Senior Systems Calibration Engineer Team Lead to provide onsite engineering, technical, and supervisory support to NSWCPD Code 534. You will lead a team of five technicians delivering SISCAL services across HM&E systems for Navy surface ships and submarines.

The role encompasses advanced engineering analyses, calibration procedure development, configuration management, and guidance during shipboard calibration events, with emphasis on reliability and fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and nine+ years experience; degree accepted in lieu of experience.
• Active SECRET clearance required.
• Experience with Navy shipboard HM&E systems, calibration programs, or metrology operations.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and managing workload.
• Knowledge of shipboard instrumentation, configuration management, and calibration requirements.
• Experience developing engineering documentation, procedures, and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five technicians supporting NSWCPD Code 534 calibration operations.
• Direct onboard SISCAL calibration for HM&E instrumentation.
• Ensure calibration activities comply with Navy CRL and requirements.
• Coordinate workloads, QA activities, and customer support.
• Oversee Navy AWR calibration processes and fleet-wide calibration tasks.
• Provide technical guidance during shipboard calibration events.
• Maintain calibration records per Navy standards.
• Assist with new construction SISCAL visits and IICR reviews.
• Develop SCPs aligned with platform baselines.
