Job summary

The International Executive Service Corps is seeking an experienced engineer to provide support for the U.S. Navy's HM&E shipboard systems. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in engineering and 7 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include configuration management, managing Engineering Change Proposals, and on-site engineering support.

A secret security clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in innovative technologies that improve ship operational profile, cost, and performance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a secret security clearance.

Job Description

Support NSWCPD, Department 20, Surface ship programs by providing configuration management, engineering change control, HM&E systems engineering, and design support. The role assists with ship modernization, acquisition, sustainment, and technical issue resolution across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Support configuration management and control system changes throughout the lifecycle.
  • Manage and track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
  • Assist with developing ECPs, resolving design discrepancies, and supporting design reviews.
  • Track HM&E equipment, ISEA advisories and Naval messages, and maintain status reports.
  • Provide ship hull, mechanical, electrical and control systems engineering support for ship acquisition, modernization, and in‑service efforts.
  • Contribute to engineering studies, risk analyses, and system performance evaluations.
  • Provide on‑site support to ship design teams, helping resolve technical issues and review test procedures and proposed ship changes.
Required Skills and Experiences
  • 7 years professional experience in engineering support for U.S. Navy HM&E shipboard systems. Experience in the development and deployment of relevant, innovative technologies that improve ship operational profile, cost and performance.
Degree Requirements
  • Master’s level degree in any engineering discipline.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
