Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to perform linear and non-linear analyses of components and underwater assemblies, leading a small team and ensuring designs meet program requirements.

You will use FEMAP/NASTRAN/ANSYS, do bolted joint analyses, and collaborate across disciplines. US citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI and polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or equivalent STEM) with 12+ years in structural analysis; MS with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• On-site work at Annapolis, MD campus.
• Proficient with FEMAP/NASTRAN and/or ANSYS FEA tools.
• US citizen able to obtain TS/SCI and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform linear and non-linear structural analyses of components and complex underwater assemblies.
• Lead a small team of structural analysts to support program analysis needs.
• Ensure designs meet program requirements, schedule, and budget objectives.
