Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle of the AN/BYG-1 submarine combat control system. You will coordinate across engineering, integration, and test teams to ensure timely, quality software builds and configuration-controlled releases for Navy platforms.

Candidates should have 15+ years in defense software production, strong systems engineering and configuration management experience (CMPro, ClearCase), and the ability to obtain a secret

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years delivering production-level software systems in defense/naval environments.
• Expertise in systems engineering, requirements, design, integration, and validation.
• Proven experience with baseline and configuration management (CMPro, ClearCase).
• Experience with submarine combat control systems or DoD/naval lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of DoD software standards (CMMI, MIL-STD) and Agile/Iterative methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning, execution, and delivery of software builds for AN/BYG-1.
• Manage baseline control, configuration release processes per Navy standards.
• Drive systems engineering processes, requirements traceability, and architecture compliance.
• Support full lifecycle including production, deployment, upgrades, sustainment.
• Coordinate with Navy customers, prime contractors, and engineering support.
• Ensure schedules align with deployment needs and manage risks.
