Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Native Editor Platform to evolve a cross-platform desktop authoring environment used by developers across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will work with seasoned engineers to improve core platform capabilities, support OS features, and shape the roadmap for new authoring experiences.

This role blends low-level systems work with platform abstractions and cross-team collaboration to enhance reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Proven modern C++ development skills.
• Experience with Win32, Cocoa or GTK.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Native debugger experience for platform issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced engineers on platform development.
• Develop cross-platform API abstractions for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Implement support for new operating system features and adapt to design guidelines.
• Maintain and improve the existing codebase to support users.
