Job summary

Partnerize is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to own the daily operations of our SQL-based systems. You will manage backups, performance tuning, and incident response across on-premise and cloud environments, while shaping the future of our database estate.

You will lead upgrades and migrations, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and development teams. This is a fully remote role open to candidates in the UK or US, with a strong focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Advanced MySQL administration in production environments; strong Linux admin and networking awareness.
• Experience owning large production DB infrastructure in SaaS; coordination with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage high availability, replication, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Own daily database operations including backups, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Design, secure, and maintain underlying Linux servers and hardware.
• Plan and deliver upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime; communicate business impact.
