Job summary

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI and seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the medium‑voltage switchgear product in our data centers. You will define standard lineups, ratings, and configurations Fluidstack buys, and hold vendors to them.

You will write and maintain switchgear specifications, lead vendor engineering, run factory acceptance tests, and drive protection coordination studies with the commissioning team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering on medium‑voltage switchgear.
• Hands‑on with metal‑clad and metal‑enclosed switchgear.
• Experience with short‑circuit, arc‑flash studies.
• Knowledge of IEEE C37, IEC 62271, NEC requirements.
• Ability to write specifications that a vendor can bid without a meeting.

Responsibilities

• Own the medium‑voltage switchgear product.
• Run the technical specification, including bus ratings and protection.
• Lead vendor engineering and factory acceptance tests.
• Drive protection coordination studies and relay settings.
• Feed the roadmap with emerging switchgear tech.
