Job summary

Fluidstack, based in San Francisco, is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design HV substations and lead the interfaces with utilities. You will own the physical and electrical design, specify transformers and switchgear, and drive designs through reviews and energization while producing repeatable, standards-driven solutions.

Candidate will productize designs, pass reviews first time, and contribute to building scalable, reliable infrastructure for AI compute.

Qualifications

• HV substations design experience (physical and one-line diagrams).
• Experience taking substation packages through utility review.
• Specifying transformers, breakers, and switchgear for transmission class.
• Experience supporting substation construction and energization.

Responsibilities

• Engineer substation designs for campus interconnection: HV yards and MV distribution substations.
• Own the physical and electrical design layouts and equipment specs to utility standards.
• Interface with utilities and consultants to pass reviews the first time.
• Standardize the substation design across sites.
