Job summary

Fluidstack is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer to own the clean-sheet design of LV switchboards and busway platforms, driving UL 891/857 listings from concept to production.

You will lead a cross-functional team of electrical and mechanical engineers, drafting, compliance, and test staff, coordinating with vendors to ensure consistent products across Fluidstack’s data center fleet. This role focuses on manufacturability and fast, thorough testing.

Qualifications

• Design LV switchboards or busway at an OEM and drive UL 891/857 listings end-to-end.
• Run short-circuit withstand and temperature rise tests and redesign as needed.
• Decide contact system, joints and plating to survive load cycles in service.
• Design for manufacturability at volume: sheet metal, plating, torque specs, assembly sequences.

Responsibilities

• Own the clean-sheet design of LV switchboards and UL 891/UL 857 listings.
• Release platforms for production within 12 months including testing campaigns.
• Lead electrical and mechanical engineers plus drafting and test staff.
• Drive listing programs end to end: test plans, witness testing, certification files.
• Collaborate with localization teams on design upgrades and interfaces.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for consistent product across fleet.
