Boom Supersonic is building a 13.8kV medium-voltage electrical system for its Superpower platform, leading end-to-end design from architecture to energization and field commissioning. The role demands deep MV experience, protection coordination, and the ability to coordinate across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.

This on-site engineering position sits within industrial-scale power design for a next-generation data-center-like power system.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with MV systems in industrial environments.
• Solid understanding of rotating machinery: generator behavior, AVR, synchronization, and transient response.
• Experience with protection coordination: relay selection and settings.
• Ability to read and produce MV electrical drawings (one-lines, wire diagrams, panel layouts).

Responsibilities

• Define MV architecture, single-line diagrams, protection philosophy, and operations for preliminary design.
• Produce protection coordination studies, relay settings, and MV drawings through detailed design.
• Lead first energization, relay commissioning, synchronization, load acceptance, and step-load testing.
