Job summary

Boom Supersonic seeks an electrical engineer to own the 13.8kV medium-voltage system for its industrial power architecture. You will lead from architecture through energization, testing, and field commissioning, ensuring reliable islanded operation for critical loads.

Expect deep MV experience, protection coordination, and the ability to read/produce MV drawings, collaborating with mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams to deliver a scalable power solution for frontier AI data centers.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, and protective relays.
• A solid understanding of generator excitation, AVR, synchronization, and transient response.
• Ability to read and produce clean MV electrical drawings for installation and commissioning.
• Comfort working across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.

Responsibilities

• Define MV architecture, protection philosophy, and operation concepts for 13.8 kV system.
• Produce protection coordination studies, relay settings, and MV drawings.
• Lead first energization, relay commissioning, and synchronization activities.
• Own end-to-end design from architecture to field commissioning.
