Job summary

Boom Supersonic is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own the 13.8kV medium‑voltage system end‑to‑end—from architecture through energization and field commissioning. You will define MV protection, create studies and drawings, and lead energization, synchronization, and load acceptance in a frontier power architecture for next‑gen data centers.

Candidates should have deep MV experience in industrial environments, plus strong understanding of generator behavior, AVR, and transient

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with medium-voltage systems in industrial or power-generation environments.
• Strong understanding of rotating machinery: generator excitation, AVR, synchronization, and transient response.
• Experience with protection coordination, relay settings, differential and overcurrent schemes.
• Ability to read and produce clean MV drawings (one-lines, diagrams, panel layouts).
• Comfort collaborating across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end MV design for 13.8kV system from architecture to energization.
• Define MV architecture, protection philosophy, and operation concepts.
• Produce protection studies, relay settings, and MV electrical drawings.
• Lead first energization, relay commissioning, synchronization, and load acceptance.
• Coordinate with mechanical and controls teams to ensure seamless integration.
