Job summary

ITT Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Application Engineer to support its Municipal business. The role focuses on pump selections, scope of supply development, and P&ID reviews, with occasional direct quoting of customers.

Located in one of ITT’s offices (Houston, TX; Colfax, NC; or Chicago, IL) with remote options for qualified candidates. The candidate will work with distributors, customers, and vendors to develop proposals, manage orders from quote to delivery, and contribute to strategic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related technical field.
10+ years of experience with rotating equipment, preferably centrifugal pumps.
Experience generating technical quotations and processing customer orders.

Responsibilities

Review customer specifications, P&ID’s, and tender documents to prepare proposals.
Select optimal centrifugal pump configurations using proprietary software.
Generate scope of supply documentation and submit orders accurately.
Provide technical support to distributors and customers and respond to inquiries promptly.
Interface with external vendors to obtain quotes for auxiliary equipment.
Process and manage orders, resolving issues as they arise.
Serve as a liaison between distributors/customers and internal operations teams.
Participate in sales calls and pre-award meetings to support strategy and customer engagement.
Build and maintain strong rapport with customer contacts.
