Job summary
Peerless Pump Company in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an Application Engineer I to provide technical support, select products, and prepare quotations for pump solutions, ensuring specifications are met while collaborating with partners, internal teams, and suppliers.
The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, deep pump knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency in Office, AutoCAD, SAP, and CRM systems. Relocation is not supported; hybrid work model offered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business.
- Advanced understanding of pumps, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with technical proposals or quotations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review product specifications to determine technical requirements and pricing.
- Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery, and technical details.
- Provide documentation to Project Management with pricing and schedules.
- Conduct post-fulfillment reviews to identify margin improvements.
- Support continuous improvement to reduce inefficiencies.
