Job summary

OHM Advisors in Michigan seeks a Municipal Project Engineer to lead design and construction plan sets for municipal projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and QA/QC, coordinating with staff, sub-consultants, and clients to deliver projects on time.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree, a Michigan PE license, and 7 years of traffic design/utility coordination experience, with AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency and MDOT ProjectWise familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineering License in Michigan preferred or required.
• 7 years’ experience in maintenance of traffic design, traffic control and utility coordination.
• Experience with municipal streets/utilities and roadway/highway design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MDOT ProjectWise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage scope, schedule, and budget for proposals and contracts.
• Coach and manage staff development, sub-consultants, and expenses during project implementation.
• Communicate project goals and outcomes to team, client, and public.
• Anticipate issues and advise client on alternatives.
• Manage invoicing and collections with OHM and sub-consultants.
• Support business development and client satisfaction.
