Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage scope, schedule, and budget for proposals and contracts.
- Coach and manage staff development, subcontractors, and project expenses throughout implementation.
- Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to the team, client, and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).
- Anticipate project issues, advise client on alternatives, and provide solutions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of OHM and subcontractor invoices and collections.
- Participate in business development and client satisfaction activities.
- Understand OHM services and how they relate to client needs.
- Identify necessary staff resources and collaborate with Discipline Director/Geographic in hiring.
- Ensure direct reports have tools, training, and are placed based on strengths; conduct performance reviews.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Seven years’ experience in maintenance of traffic design, traffic control, and utility coordination.
- Experience with municipal streets and utilities and/or roadway/highway design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Preferred experience with MDOT ProjectWise and design criteria and manuals.
- Professional Engineering license in Michigan.
Technical Skills
- Strong client relationship management.
- Ability to train junior engineers and interns.
- Good organizational skills and teamwork orientation.
