MRB Group in Charleston seeks a Senior Planning Associate to lead complex municipal and land use planning projects with emphasis on regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.

The role requires independent judgment, strong project management skills, and frequent interaction with municipal officials, developers, and the public. Ideal candidate brings municipal/consulting experience and knowledge of land use and NEPA reviews.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Geography, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional planning and/or local government planning/consulting experience.
• AICP Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage complex land use and development applications (site plans, subdivisions, rezonings, variances).
• Perform detailed technical and regulatory reviews of development applications.
• Prepare staff reports and present findings to Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeals.
• Attend Planning, Zoning and public meetings, including evenings.
• Mentor junior planning staff and support MRB Group teams.
