Job summary

BEM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to perform interdisciplinary work focused on regulatory compliance, land use permit applications, and environmental assessments in the NJ/NY/Phila. metro region.

The role combines technical analysis with project management and client coordination, with some office time and on-site visits required. The candidate will manage budgets, schedules, sub-consultants, and staff, and contribute to proposal development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a related field with 10+ years of experience in reports, regulatory constraints analysis, permit applications, and environmental assessments.
• Experience navigating NJDEP, USACE, NEPA, EO215, NYSEQR, NYCEQR processes and related rules.
• Willingness to work a flexible hybrid schedule with office time, meetings, and site visits in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses and prepare deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Prepare professional reports and permit applications with attention to detail.
• Lead agency meetings and manage budgets, invoices, schedules, and client expectations.
