Job summary

MRB Group in Rochester, New York, is seeking a Planning Associate to join our multi-disciplinary team focusing on environmental planning and civil engineering. You will assess subdivision and site plans, translate technical data into clear written communication, and present findings to clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with professionals across disciplines, manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and contribute to client meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a BS/BA degree in environmental planning, civil engineering, or related field.
• Ability to comprehend subdivision/site plans, grading plans, contours, utility layouts, elevations, and engineering reports.
• Knowledge of NYSDEC stormwater regulations and MS4 requirements.
• Translate maps, plans, and engineering documents into descriptive written communication and public presentations.
• Work with a fast-paced team and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Manage workload on multiple projects and deliver on time.
• Exceptional problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Public speaking, presentation skills, and interactions with clients, community residents, municipal staff and elected officials will be expected.

Salary

Estimated annual base salary range: $70,000 – $90,000. Actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications and skill level.
