Job summary

Jacobs in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure projects across southeastern and south-central Wisconsin, coordinating planning, design, construction, and closeout with city, village, town, and county stakeholders.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive business development, manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks, and collaborate with WisDOT and utility partners in a hybrid Milwaukee or Madison location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • PE license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • 15+ years delivering municipal infrastructure projects with PM responsibilities.
  • Proven track record managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
  • Experience with municipalities and public-sector clients.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal design standards, funding programs, and delivery processes.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting business development, client relationships, and proposals.
  • Direct experience with local roadway, utility, and WisDOT Connecting Highway projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and trusted partner for municipalities throughout Wisconsin.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and overall performance.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across transportation, utilities, stormwater, and civil infrastructure.
  • Develop relationships with municipal clients, stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • Support and lead business development, client engagement, proposals, and strategic pursuit planning.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and grow new municipal partnerships.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with WisDOT, local agencies, utilities, regulators, and community stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers.
