NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Operations Specialist to join our client's team in St. Petersburg, FL.

This Hybrid, Direct Hire position focuses on end-to-end payroll processing, HRIS data integrity, and regulatory compliance. You will manage multistate payroll, tax filings, year-end reporting, and audits across multiple entities, collaborating with HR, Finance, Benefits, and leadership to optimize processes and controls.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of payroll experience, multifaceted and hands-on.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, payroll-to-GL reconciliation, and year-end processing.
• Experience supporting multiple units or entities in a shared-services setup.

Aufgaben

• Handle end-to-end, multistate payroll processing across entities.
• Validate inputs (earnings, deductions, taxes, bonuses) for accuracy.
• Ensure payroll and tax compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Support payroll tax filings, reconciliations, audits and W-2 processing.
• Investigate discrepancies and drive resolution with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain payroll procedures, controls, and audit readiness.
