Job summary

Companion Group is a AAA co-development gaming studio operating fully remotely with teams distributed globally. We seek a Senior Game Developer to lead multiplayer gameplay systems, optimize performance, and deliver seamless networked experiences across modern engines.

You will work with a talented team of developers, designers, and artists to build robust systems, implement cutting-edge networking, and ensure smooth player interactions in large-scale multiplayer titles.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Unreal Engine development experience (6+ years).
• Expert C++ programming skills (C++17/20).
• Strong knowledge of client-server architecture and networking.
• Experience with ECS and at least one proprietary engine is a plus.
• Experience with online services and cloud providers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement multiplayer-ready gameplay systems in Unreal and beyond.
• Produce clean, efficient C++ code with solid architecture.
• Design and optimize data structures and algorithms for scalable networking.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver immersive gameplay.
