Job summary

Companion Group is a AAA co-development studio operating in a fully remote setup, delivering multiplayer games with scalable player experiences. As a Senior Online Client Engineer, you will contribute to the online services and ensure an exceptional gaming experience for client audiences.

Your expertise in multiplayer design, UE5 networking, and cloud integrations will drive features across PC/Console and work within globally distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Unreal Engine and multiplayer online development.
• Strong C++ expertise with modern standards (C++17/20) and networked gameplay knowledge.
• Experience integrating GBaaS platforms (PlayFab, EOS, Nakama, Pragma) and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Shape online services architecture and multiplayer features for client projects.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver scalable, immersive experiences.
• Implement sign-in, matchmaking, progression, and leaderboards across platforms.
