Job summary

Toole Design in California is seeking a Transportation Planner to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on safer, equitable mobility. You’ll lead analyses, manage projects, and engage with communities to move plans from vision to implementation.

The role emphasizes fieldwork, travel within the region, and delivering multimodal, Complete Streets projects that center equity, climate, and health. Fluency in Spanish and 5+ years' experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in planning, engineering, design, public health, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
• Fluent in Spanish for community engagement.
• Experience with multimodal transportation planning and public engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses and manage projects and tasks.
• Engage directly with clients and communities.
• Travel occasionally around the region for fieldwork.
• Work on multimodal corridor studies and Complete Streets.
