Job summary

The role includes supervising planners, managing workloads, and helping recruit for the growing planning team. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in urban/transportation planning, 15+ years in the Mid-Atlantic, and a proven track record in client relations, proposals, and business

Qualifications

• 15+ years of transportation planning experience in the Mid-Atlantic (DMV)
• 6+ years at a private consulting firm delivering public-sector projects and business development
• 4+ years of supervisory experience, including staff management and mentoring
• Extensive knowledge of multimodal transportation planning practices
• Proven track record managing complex projects (clients, subconsultants, schedules, budgets) delivered on time and on budget
• Experience winning work: client relationships, proposals, and interviews
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills

• Lead project teams on complex multimodal transportation projects with strategic oversight
• Ensure delivery of high-quality work while reinforcing the firm's reputation
• Supervise and mentor planners in the Silver Spring office and help recruit for the planning team
