Qualifications

• Proven research in multimodal AI, generative AI, CV, and audiovisual analysis.
• Strong record of innovation with patents/publications as first author.
• Experience deploying AI systems at scale in production.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire research teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration; translate research into products.
• 8 years of relevant research/industry experience; PhD optional with depth.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on research at the intersection of multimodal AI and immersive sensory experiences.
• Invent and advance next-generation interactive and sensory technologies.
• Drive projects that enhance multimodal content creation, delivery, analysis, and rendering systems.
• Collaborate with global research teams to set research directions and fuel Dolby’s licensing and cloud businesses.
• Guide, grow, and mentor a high-performing team of researchers in multimodal understanding, delivery, and rendering.
• Define research roadmaps in partnership with ATG leaders and align resources to global initiatives.
