Dolby is seeking a talented Senior Multimodal AI Researcher to join the Advanced Technology Group in Atlanta. You will advance multimodal AI for audio, speech, and music, building prototypes and demonstrations from theory to product-ready solutions.

You will work with world-class researchers, keeping up with literature, and exploring generative models, self-supervised learning, and language-model integrations for audio applications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong background in deep learning both conceptually and practically.
• Technical knowledge of audio fundamentals.
• Deep passion for audio, music and multimedia apps.
• Deep knowledge of current ML literature.
• Publication track record in ML conferences is desirable.
• Proficient in Python and DL frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Ability to envision new technologies and turn them into products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with domain experts to refine and execute Dolby’s AI/ML strategy.
• Use deep learning to create new solutions (including foundation models).
• Push the state-of-the-art and develop intellectual property.
• Transfer technology to product groups.
• Establish research collaborations with external universities.
• Mentor interns on novel research problems.
• Publish papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Advise internal leaders on recent DL advancements.
