Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Senior Multiline Claims Examiner for remote contract work in the United States. The role involves handling professional P&C claims with a focus on end-to-end lifecycle from intake through closure and communicating clear, policy-based conclusions.

You will design realistic loss scenarios, create actionable reports, and provide high-quality insured communications while evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and adherence to procedures. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional P&C claims handling experience.
• Independently handled claims in at least one area (property, auto physical damage, bodily injury, general liability, etc.).
• Understand the claim lifecycle from intake and investigation through evaluation, resolution, recovery and closure.
• Read and apply policy language to claim facts and know when escalation is required.
• Demonstrate excellent written analysis, balanced judgment, and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic claims scenarios involving first notice of loss, coverage verification, investigation, documentation, reserving, damage evaluation, negotiation, settlement, subrogation, salvage, and closure.
• Create work products such as claim action plans, coverage analyses, investigation requests, evaluation summaries, settlement recommendations, and insured communications.
• Write high-quality, reference responses for claims professionals.
• Grade AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, policy application, and procedural completeness.
• Identify premature conclusions, missing steps, and improper communications; distinguish covered damage from exclusions.
• Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior.
