Job summary

MPI seeks a Multifamily Superintendent in the Dulles, VA area to oversee day-to-day field operations on large-scale wood-frame townhome developments. This role drives project execution, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures safety, quality, and schedule milestones are met.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of field leadership in multifamily or wood-frame projects, strong scheduling and subcontractor management, and a proven ability to own field operations.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of construction experience with increasing field leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing multifamily, townhome, apartment, or wood-frame construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of field operations.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, quality control, and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to build relationships with project teams, clients, and trade partners.
• Stable work history with a track record of successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain project schedules
• Oversee site safety programs and ensure compliance with all company and OSHA standards
• Monitor project quality and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
• Conduct site inspections and proactively address construction issues
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, ownership representatives, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates
• Drive schedule performance and support successful project delivery within budget expectations
• Manage field logistics, manpower planning, and sequencing of work activities
• Foster strong relationships with trade partners and project team members
