Job summary

Meritus Property Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for a portfolio of properties in Tacoma. You will ensure building systems and equipment run efficiently while upholding safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in property maintenance with supervisory experience and strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property maintenance experience with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; EPA/CPO certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for a portfolio of properties in Tacoma.
• Manage and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
• Schedule and perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Manage vendor relationships, obtain bids, and oversee contracted services.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with safety standards and codes.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide after-hours support.
• Collaborate with property management on budgets and capital improvements.
• Provide excellent service to residents and staff.
