Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a seasoned estimator in Reno, NV to lead complex construction estimates for multifamily and commercial projects. You will own estimates, budgets, bids, and proposals, and work with preconstruction, business development, and operations to ensure accurate scopes and pricing.

You will assess plans, perform detailed takeoffs, and identify risks and opportunities early to shape pursuit strategies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive construction estimating experience.
• Multifamily, commercial, or similarly complex general contracting project experience.
• Proven ability to independently lead estimates from initial review through bid submission.
• Strong command of quantity takeoffs, scopes of work, bid leveling, subcontractor coverage, and risk evaluation.
• Established subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Nevada market experience (Reno or Las Vegas) strongly preferred; other transferables considered.

Responsibilities

• Own estimates, budgets, bids, and proposals for new pursuits.
• Analyze plans and specs, perform detailed takeoffs, and build comprehensive scopes.
• Spot scope gaps, risks, and opportunities before they cost the project.
• Solicit, level, and evaluate sub and supplier pricing, and strengthen coverage where it's thin.
• Shape pursuit strategy, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Partner with Preconstr uction, Business Development, and Operations, then hand off awarded projects for a clean start.
