Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to drive estimating and bidding efforts for diverse projects in the Kansas City area. You will collaborate with architects, owners, and project teams during preconstruction to ensure accurate estimates and achievable budgets.

The role emphasizes coordinating schedules, preparing GMP and other contract bids, and supporting constructability reviews to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Learn and utilize estimating software for bid solicitations.
• Assist in developing preliminary project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Develop budgets and bid clarifications using Word and Excel.
• Attend prebid meetings and site visits to understand construction processes.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing estimates from conceptual to final construction documents.
• Prepare and assemble bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Support constructability reviews with project team and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and architects during preconstruction.
• Manage multiple responsibilities to meet schedules and budgets.
