Job summary

Jobot seeks a seasoned Superintendent with strong multifamily construction experience to lead and manage projects in Des Moines. You will oversee the buildout, coordinate subs, review plans, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in multifamily construction, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a track record of coordinating complex residential and commercial builds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Superintendent in multifamily projects.
• Experience with residential and commercial buildouts.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment and best practices.
• Proven leadership with ability to manage a team and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs and scopes of work.
• Commitment to safety and quality on site.
• Experience managing multiple projects and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the construction process for multifamily projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure tasks are performed per plan.
• Review contract documents, plans, specifications and scopes of work.
• Supervise all construction activities meeting codes and standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and address delays.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality control.
• Manage buildout to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate status and updates with project team, clients and stakeholders.
• Resolve on-site issues or disputes to maintain progress and quality.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making.
