Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Multifamily-Project Manager to oversee the construction of one or more communities, coordinating with design, development, purchasing, and property management to optimize outcomes.

The role involves supervising field personnel, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring code compliance, and maintaining thorough project documentation. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years or more construction project management experience, ideally multifamily or commercial.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Regular exposure to outside weather conditions and related hazards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage performance of Assistant Project Manager(s) and field personnel.
• Coordinate with design consultants to secure permits and complete design packages.
• Lead bidding, subcontractor evaluation, buy-out, and contracting for projects.
• Create and monitor project budgets, and track costs vs. budget through completion.
• Manage construction scheduling with baseline and updates to ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, SWPPP, FHA/ADA guidelines, and company policies.
