Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Construction Manager in San Jose, CA to oversee day-to-day for-sale residential communities. You will manage projects from site work through handoff, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Candidates should have 5+ years in multifamily residential construction, with townhomes and multi-story attached housing experience. Strong leadership and planning skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years managing multifamily residential construction sites for a production or infill homebuilder.
• Experience with townhomes and multi-story attached residential construction.
• Knowledge of both horizontal site development and vertical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
• Familiarity with California building codes, Cal/OSHA and SWPPP.

Responsibilities

• Manage horizontal construction activities including grading, utilities, site improvements and vertical construction.
• Oversee subcontractors and trade partners, scheduling, sequencing and workmanship.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules and identify delays or risks.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and field reviews.
• Coordinate inspections with municipalities and ensure code compliance.
• Enforce safety requirements per Cal/OSHA and SWPPP.
